2 min read · November 2026
January falls in the middle of the ski season in St. Anton am Arlberg. The ski area is open from 2 December 2026 to 18 April 2027, and by January the Christmas holidays are over. In the Netherlands they end on 3 January 2027, and the spring holiday only starts on 13 February.
Short days
The days are still short in January. In mid-January the sun rises around 08:00 and sets just before 17:00, which gives about nine hours of daylight. By the end of the month it is about nine and a half hours. Which lifts and slopes are open on a given day is on the live map of Ski Arlberg.
