Snow on the mountains, crisp air, and the Arlberg as your winter backdrop. Haus Alpzeit sits in Schnann, in the municipality of Pettneu am Arlberg, just a few minutes from St. Anton am Arlberg, close enough to enjoy winter sports to the fullest, yet far enough from the crowds. With an average of around nine metres of natural snowfall each winter, the Arlberg is one of the most snow-reliable ski regions in the Alps.

Skiing & snowboarding
The Arlberg at your feet.
St. Anton am Arlberg is a name every winter sports fan knows. From Haus Alpzeit, the free ski bus gets you to the slopes in no time. The bus stop is just a one-minute walk from the house. In the morning and afternoon it runs every 15 minutes. And if you stay for a bite after après-ski in St. Anton, the bus still runs late enough to get you home.
The ski bus takes you easily toward the Nassereinbahn, or further on to Galzig and Rendl. Once you're up there, the Ski Arlberg region awaits with 305 kilometres of pistes, more than 200 kilometres of off-piste descents, and a truly impressive mountain landscape. Whether you like an easy cruise, a challenging run, or deep powder, the Arlberg gives you all the room you need for your own kind of winter day.

Cross-country skiing & skating
A slower pace. The same mountains.
There's plenty to do beyond the piste too. Right across from the house you'll find 22 kilometres of groomed cross-country trails, suited to both classic and skating technique. A lovely way to experience winter from another side: slower, closer to nature, with all the time to take in the landscape.
Winter walking
Step straight into winter.
A winter walk is never far away either. From Schnann, you can follow several winter walking routes through the valley and along the Rosanna, or toward St. Jakob and St. Anton. Prefer to head up into the mountains? The Verwalltal and the area around Galzig also offer beautiful winter walks.

Winter in Schnann
Small village. Big winter.
In winter, Schnann has exactly what we love about living in the mountains: quiet, space, and a real sense of village life. Up in the mountains by day, home to the calm of Schnann by night. Schnann even has its own Rodelbahn (sledge run). And if you're in the mood for a bit more life, St. Anton and everything the Arlberg has to offer are close by. From a winter walk to an evening of sledging, from a day on the slopes to a drink in the village, you set the pace.
