Trailpark Seelenzoll opens in Schnann
2 min read · June 2026
On Saturday, 13 June 2026, a new mountain bike park opened at Seelenzoll, in Schnann. The opening was marked with music, a barbecue, and drinks from ten in the morning — a local event, on a local scale, for something the valley had been building toward for a while.
The park did not appear from nowhere. It was strongly supported by the Agrargemeinschaft Schnann and the municipality of Pettneu am Arlberg, and built by the Tourismusverband St. Anton am Arlberg together with the Bike Club Arlberg. Tobias Kerber, in particular, is credited with carrying the project from initiative through planning to construction.
At opening, Trailpark Seelenzoll has four trails, set at different levels of difficulty, suitable for children and beginners as well as more experienced riders — open to residents and guests alike. A dedicated uphill trail brings you back to the start without needing the road. More trails are already under construction, so the park is expected to grow over the coming seasons.
Riding is free, and you bring your own bike. There is no rental counter or ticket booth attached to it — the trails are simply there, the way a footpath is there. They are also built with e-mountainbikes in mind, which matters on a network where the climb back up is part of the route rather than an afterthought.
One detail makes this particularly useful for anyone staying in Schnann without a car: Trailpark Seelenzoll connects directly to the Stanzertal cycling route, through the village centre. From the house, you can ride out, do a few laps, and ride back the same way.
It is a small addition to the valley, not a large one, and that fits how things tend to arrive here. For guests visiting later this summer with bikes already on the roof rack, it is one more reason to leave the car where it is.
